My husband and I, along with our fur baby, visited the New Jersey Botanical Garden in Ringwood last Sunday to explore the state park and it did not disappoint! The scenery was beautiful, especially with the fall season beginning and the trees showing their vibrant colors. We spent almost 4 hours walking around, enjoying every bit of nature, and taking breaks in between to relax. We’ll definitely be coming back since we didn’t get to explore the other side of the garden yet, and we also plan to visit the nearby Shepherd Lake Recreation Area next time. It’s absolutely worth the 40-minute drive from our place!

Beautiful Place to visit, To walk, hike or just enjoy the beautiful scenery all around.
No fee or entering and zero parking fee. Everything here is free. Enjoy walking down the paths already set out. Or enjoy the trails in the woods or in the flower fields. So much to see and explore. From the Japanese garden to the beautiful botanical garden..
Some trails go deep in the woods where you will find many ponds / streams for frog watching and lizards.
They have so much Koi fish that are full grown - from baby Koi and so many tadpoles. It was so stunning to see the lily pads in the pond and seeing the beautiful flowers illuminating from the garden of lily pads.
The Botanical Garden is Absolutely stunning and beautiful in so many ways..
Much to visit. Bring you own food . Grab a blanket and enjoy a nice relaxing picnic with your loved ones. Or solo.. I love sitting by nature and enjoying my own company. Most times when I sit I get great clarity and I see things from another perspective..
—-Sometimes we need to stop our busy lives, sit down, relax and just be. Our inner souls need to pause. For me it’s worth the time and effort to be at one with self.
Have a beautiful Day!! Remember to take time for your self . Read a great book. Look at nature. Enjoy each and every moment you have here on earth!!
Life is too short. So enjoy each and every moment you can!!

    1. Walkability – A perfect spot for a peaceful, refreshing walk. I visit every year, and there’s always something new to admire—nature here never fails to surprise and inspire.
    2. Photography – A dream for nature photographers! From vibrant flowers to curious animals—once, we even spotted a bear! Every corner offers something magical to capture.
    3. Maintenance – Beautifully maintained. The gardens are clean, well-kept, and clearly cared for with love.
    4. Parking – There is on-site parking, making it easy and convenient to visit.
    5. Admission – Free entry, which makes it even more accessible for everyone to enjoy.
    6. Hours – Open every day! Great flexibility for whenever you're ready to connect with nature.

Overall: One of my favorite places to unwind, explore, and take in the beauty of the natural world. Whether you're walking, taking photos, or just soaking in the peace—this garden never disappoints. I’ll definitely keep coming back!

Was very pretty! There were many trails and each had various varieties of flowers and greenery to look at. Also saw a few frogs around the ponds and streams. Was well kept care of and would have loved to have a picnic there. Overall was very nice but would recommend long pants if going walking on the trails as two ticks where found on my boyfriend but overall was very nice!
