My son found me unresponsive on the floor after an extended cold. He tried heimlich but no response. My daughter trained in CPR did compressions because I was blue-lipped. That worked. Vernon Ambulance took me asap to Newton where their genuine and dedicated care got me better. Kudos to our ambulance squad and Newton’s staff. Most attentive care I’ve ever received. They were so concerned and thoroughly checked me out. Let me mention: Alissa Alyssa Jasmin Natalia Randy Connie Tamara Olivia Emily all the Drs and everyone that my post sick mushy brain cannot recall right now. The nurse in the ER also be out teaching and a chair in for my daughter. Their genuine care and kindness abounds. Thank you (ER, Room 149 Hussey). I’m so grateful for to ALL of you. ❤️👍

Ill start off with the positives, food was good, lots of options. Nurse Barbara was a saint walked me to my medicaid ride in a t shirt in the cold. The other nurses were ok as well as the aids. The doctors were generous when they discharged me with meds to help my pain. Everything was explained thoroughly to me at discharge. Problem was psych or dementia patients screaming all night, no sleep. Waiting up to 3 hours late for your nurse to get your pain meds. A different doctor every day with a different diagnosis and opinion. A referral to an out of network doctor, oh, last but not least I came by ambulance and told them I have severe liver pain. At discharge a doctor said I had a normal liver, found out 2 days later I have hep b and c through bloodwork at my primary. I spent 5 days there for colitis and a bloody uti
