I’ve been shopping at Oakland Hardware for years since moving to the area, and every visit is a pleasure. Don’t be fooled by the outside, it’s much larger than it looks and they somehow always have exactly what I need. But what really sets them apart is the staff. Everyone is incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and patient. They are always so welcoming to my children that my kids ask to come along when I say I need to run to the hardware store. It’s just a great local business run by great people. Highly recommend supporting them.
Always a good experience. More often than not, they’ll walk me to my product rather than just telling me it’s back in aisle 34 like at HD. I like to buy local, and they keep up their end of that bargain: fair pricing, great customer service, and a swift exit.
Always find everything I need here. The services of standing. Exactly what you would find in a town hardware store with a mass amount of surplus. I never have waited getting propane, wood chips, water softener salt or anything that is heavy and would need assistance. Highly recommend Oakland, New Jersey Ace Hardware.
We came to the store last night 30 mins before store closing and had one of the best shopping experiences with Jessica helping us pick out a Weber grill. She was informative and guided us with her knowledge without being pushy while still taking time to explain details.

Went to this store needing several parts for attaching a Weber natural gas grill. Matt, and I believe Drew, were excellent in determining what was needed and making sure these were the correct items and all we needed. Really appreciate the outstanding, no rush assistance.
