Pompton Lakes Bagel

First of all, the bagels are great- and for a small place, they have a nice selection. Bagel sandwiches are also really good. They also have specialty breakfasts and different cream cheeses. Why I’m really writing this review is because last week we went in needing 30 bagel sandwiches for a last minute outreach we were doing. They said no problem and had 30 sandwiches made up for us in about half an hour. It was much appreciated.

Pompton Lakes Bagel in Pompton Lakes, NJ is hands down one of the best bagel spots around. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, friendly smile and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like part of the family. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable — they know their menu inside and out, and they’re always happy to help you pick the perfect bagel or sandwich combination.
The variety here is truly impressive. Whether you’re in the mood for a classic everything bagel, a sweet cinnamon raisin, or something more unique, they’ve got it all — and every single bagel is fresh, fluffy, and perfectly baked. Their spreads are creamy and flavorful, and the breakfast sandwiches are made with care and attention to detail. You can tell they take pride in serving quality food.
What really stands out is how consistently good everything is. The bagels are always fresh (you can smell them baking in the morning!), the ingredients are top-notch, and the coffee is strong and satisfying. It’s the kind of place you can stop by any day of the week and know you’ll leave happy and full.

They’re the best all around, just wish they would carry oat milk for coffee or something else dairy free. But they have the best bagels in the area and I tried all of them. Staff is also great, very friendly.

I travel a lot around Jersey and other nearby states as a contractor, and I love my bagels and breakfast sandwiches. I can tell you this place is right there to be the best one; it's just perfect. Fast service even when busy. Maybe they could improve their coffee options, like the iced coffee, but their sandwiches and bagels, plus the service, are so good. Whenever I come near Wayne, I don't mind traveling 30 minutes for breakfast to come and eat here; it's so good.

The bagels are already great but the sandwiches are even better! The specials are so good. They have always gotten my complicated orders right and they move with purpose to get people in and out. There's no seating but it's a great choice when you are just grabbing something to go. A classic local business that just does everything well.
