Our 24 year old son has Autism and has been taught by both Lou and Andy for the last 6 years. Their patience, compassion, and teaching styles have greatly benefited our son. He not only looks forward to going there for lessons but, because of the Center's teachers, thoroughly enjoys practicing at home so he can show them how he's doing! I wouldn't consider taking him to any other place.
My children took lessons at Raritan Music center from the time they were 6 all the way through high school. Raritan Music center was a place my kids felt at home and was like a second family. The support and encouragement they received there was an amazing experience. They got to attend Piano camp and Guitar camp, participate in recitals and competitions. They still have the trophies. All the teachers at Raritan are very well educated and have patience with the children encouraging them to push themselves to best of their ability all the while making music fun and enjoyable experience. All my kids still play music today. Thanks to Lou and his staff at Raritan Music
My daughter has been taking piano lessons at Raritan Music Center for the past 3 months. I am really happy with her progress. She is enjoying learning there, says she can’t wait for Tuesday’s 7 p.m. class!
The music center is classy and welcoming, with spacious individual rooms and friendly staff. Diane is well-organized and has always been helpful with any schedule changes. Joe is my daughter’s teacher, he makes every effort learning so much easy and fun to her. He is friendly and understanding! :-)
Couple of things that can be improved are – Firstly, in the lounge area, some folding chairs are fabric padded, and some are not. Probably considering having all padded chairs can be comfortable for parents who choose to wait during the session.
Secondly, sometimes cigarette smoke seems to rush in from the fire exit (at the rear end of the building), which can be annoying for non-smokers.
I greatly appreciate and thank Joey, Diane and every staff at the music center for their help and efforts. They’re building a foundation for a life-long love of music for my daughter. Looking forward for her first recital!
I would definitely recommend Raritan Music Center to everyone and anyone interested in having fun while learning music. A big Thumbs up from Mr. Chandrashekar and family!!! :-)
My sons have been taking piano lessons at Raritan Music Center for the last 9 months. I am amazed at the progress they have made. Joey is their teacher and he does an excellent job developing their abilities while making lessons fun. The boys have really connected with him!
The music center is a friendly environment and the staff is fantastic! I can see the interactions with teachers, students and parents while there each week, and it is always positive!
The spring recital was very well done and intimate. Watching my sons perform their songs made me so exceptionally proud!
I would recommend the Raritan Music Center to anyone looking to take lessons!
This is my fifth year studying piano as an adult student. I have found Raritan Music Center to be professionally run and staffed by friendly, helpful people. Diane, who manages the office is always pleasant and helpful and I have found my instructors to be both gifted pianists and excellent teachers. Because of my scheduling requirements, I have had three wonderful teachers over the years. I am in my second year of study with Joey Markey who is an awesome piano instructor!
