I went to RCA three years ago, and I can honestly say they saved my life. When I arrived, I was completely consumed by my addictions and had no idea how to climb out. This place gave me the tools, structure, and support I needed to rebuild myself from the inside out.

The staff truly cares. They don’t just treat you, they teach you. I learned coping skills, accountability, and how to face life without numbing everything. They helped me understand my patterns, break them, and replace them with healthier habits. Even now, years later, I still use what I learned there.

I walked in broken and walked out with hope, clarity, and a future. If you’re struggling and you’re ready for real change, this is the place that can give you your life back. I’m forever grateful.

    The great outweigh the frustrations.

The staff in the building are capable, competent, compassionate, patient, and truly wonderful! They helped me unlock so much in my recovery, and I left my 30 day treatment feeling like a truly new man. I feel like Im a version of myself that I didn’t know existed. I have such supreme admiration for the boots on the ground: Marguerite, Kelly, Sheets, and Jeff, to the case managers (shoutout Maggie), to the group leaders like Betty, Scott, Nick, Donald, Kevin, Rob, Ben, to the nursing and RSS staff, the cleaning staff, and kitchen staff. They all contributed in saving my life.

The frustrations stem from the negligence at the top levels of this company. There were several situations, and altercations that put the patients hygeine, safety, and ultimately, sobriety in jeopardy due to extreme budget cuts. The “interim ceo” peacocks around the hallways, and when directly adressed by patients with issues about patients concerns, he smugly passes the buck and ignores said issues. If it werent for these frustrations, this place could be the gold standard for recovery.

For these reasons, I give the staff a 9 out of 5, and the pencil pushers a resounding 0 out of 5.

I can not say enough good things about RCA-Raritan Bay! As an alumni of their prestigious program, I am honored to have received such genuine support and care from their staff! Marguerite’s Big Book studies were my favorite! She truly goes above and beyond for all of her clients and cares sincerely about our success! She is an absolute blessing in the lives of all of us who have had the privilege of receiving her guidance! Betty is another gem at RCA! Just like Marguerite, Betty also takes the extra step to get to know you and provides the best advice and insights you could ever imagine. I have learned so much from them both. Betty pulled this resounding strength out of me that I never knew existed and I am eternally grateful! Shout out to Geraldine, Alexis, Amy, Kaden, Scott, Jeff and Ro! I can not thank you all enough for supporting me through my journey!

RCA is truly an amazing place that has truly changed my family’s life. The staff and pretty much everything else is amazing. The only thing is the food is not good at all. The food needs a huge improvement. Besides that everything else is amazing. I thank everybody at RCA for the awesome care, love, and support. If anybody is struggling or needs help please come to RCA because the people that you meet here truly become like family. I highly recommend coming to RCA and believe me you will not be disappointed!!!!!!

RCA has been instrumental in me changing my life around. After years of addiction, my journey in recovery started as being an inpatient at RCA. Coming here turned out to be the single most important decision I’ve made. The staff members are very helpful and supportive. Thursday evening alumni meetings at RCA have been a great source of positive reinforcement for me. Marguerite and Rahi work hard in making sure that alumni meetings and events are well organized and offer an atmosphere which is inspirational and inviting for RCA alumni. RCA offers great opportunities for individuals like myself who want lasting success in recovery. I’m glad to be a part of it!
