Relocation Solution

This company was a pleasant surprise to me after using far too many less than reputable local moving companies. They only charged me what they said they were going too(by the hour), and did not “low ball” the estimated time like so many other moving companies do. The icing on the cake was the 3 gentlemen they sent to me. Clean, friendly, accommodating, and extremely efficient. Not to mention I could actually communicate with them.

This is the third time I used Relocation solution. After all three moves I can defiantly say that they are not scam like many movers. They have their own truck which was pretty large and clean like a new one. I saw it first when the movers came to my apartment to upload the stuffs. There was sufficient room in the truck to accommodate my four rooms items. The crews were expert and wrapped with plastic and use blanket for delicate items. They had top priority for the customers requirement. They truly exceeded my expectation. I would like hire them in my next coming move.

It was definitely hard to request them for any more service after what we received from Relocation solution. I thought finding out a trustworthy mover might be complicated for me. But no, luckily I was referred for this company and that came out as the best for me. They came on time, finished on time and reassembled everything what was disassembled on move day. There was no hitch on their work. They did everything thoroughly. After my belongings were taken to their warehouse for a day, they came on the next day to inspect whether any other movable items were left. Then total stuffs were delivered in correct stint. I am happy and always want to work with this company.

This was one of the worst experiences EVER!! Shame on me for having read the various poor reviews on Relocation Solution, and figuring that MY move would be different. The reason for my foolishness? I had a very simple move, a desk to be moved from CT to NJ. Simple, right? No issues with unexpected packing, boxing, or way too optimistic estimates of what it would take to move lots of stuff into the truck. The exact distance was known, and there were no surprises of steps, or difficult situations. What could they possibly try to hang on me? Well, how foolish I was. The two young guys showed up at the delivery location with clipboard in hand, calculating extra time, packing material, and fuel, saying I owed them $890 instead of the quoted $460. Seems that "some guy" in the home office "who knows nothing about moving" gave a bum estimate, according to these two. Said it took them twice as long to drive the distance, used up $200 extra in fuel, and also wanted to charge for the use of pads and tape. Give me a friggin break!! There was nothing that was not known before the move, and Jay, the sales rep, told me exactly how much cash (yes, they only want cash) that I needed for the balance at delivery. We spent well over 1.5 hours bickering and yakking with "the boss" at the home office (because the sales person was not available). Threats of calling the police, taking me to court, and as much intimidation as they could muster. I was determined not to give in, since I had a legit quote from another company who was willing to let me tag on to another move, but when Relocation Solution gave me a similar quote for a direct move, I agreed to go with them. The boss yelled at me saying that "no one in this industry gives flat rate quotes, everything is re-calculated after the move". I can understand issues of moves that are super complicated to estimate, but this is out of control. In the end I had to pay an additional $250 above the agreed-to price. And they said if I didn't go get cash from the local bank, that they would be charging another 6% "tax", which when questioned really represented a fee for using a credit card. Never again, and I suggest that everyone take heed: STEER CLEAR OF RELOCATION SOLUTION MOVERS!!! Bottom line is that they are at a minimum terrible at estimating, but in more likelihood they are using bait and switch tactics, as evidenced by their standard practice of holding the furniture hostage in the truck until you pay up in cash.
