I LOVE my Doctor here (Doctor Hickey). I have been seeing him since I finished with a pediatrician. I have since moved to another state outside of NJ & am 3hrs away from here BUT STILL make the drive EVERYTIME to see my Doc because I trust him that much & I have an established close relationship with him. He knew/knows my whole family & my family. I will continue to see Doctor Hickey until he retires because he is that BRILLIANT, KIND, CARING, THOROUGH, & OVERALL AMAZING! Doctors like him only come along once in a lifetime! I cannot thank him enough for taking care of me & ALWAYS keeping me informed & doing what is best for me! I cannot say enough about this man's integrity & the personal stake that he constantly puts into his patients & the practice as a whole!❤ Thank you sooooo much!
I can't speak for general office visits here, however, I do not recommend this group for the drive through COVID rapid test. I was sent there three days ago by my physician for pre-surgery clearance. The technician that administered the test for me didn't know what she was doing. She thrust and pushed the nasal swab so hard and deep that I yelled that she was hurting me a lot. Instead of apologizing and adjusting the pressure, she continued and said that if it's not in deep the test will have to be redone, and she walked away. I could barely drive home the pain was so intense and I was so taken aback by what had just occurred. The pain and discomfort lasted two more days. I know this test causes temporary discomfort (I've done self-administered COVID tests before), but this was totally uncalled for and unnecessary. I don't know who trained these technicians, but it appears this technician was not trained properly at all and shouldn't be doing this job. Patients deserve better.
Updated 2/2/2021 - I was required to go back to the Riverside Medical Group by my physician for another pre-surgery clearance since I was told this was the only place they would allow me to go. I hesitantly made an appointment and when I got there, I told the technician that was assigned to me about my previous negative experience from the prior month. She apologized and said she would be very careful. She did a very good job with the test - it was a bit uncomfortable but not painful. I will therefore change my review from 1 to 3 stars since the second experience was much better. I would advise all patients that go to this group for the rapid test to make sure they first remind the technician to pay attention to what they are doing and not rush. I am hoping that the previous technician has been re-trained so she does not repeat the mistake she made on my first visit with other patients.
This place was fantastic!! I was thrilled to have my Covid test taken by professionals and my results at the same visit. Results delivered to m by a professional too and any questions I had were answered. For me it was about 50 minutes from driving in to leaving. WELL WORTH THE TIME! Everyone was pleasant and the routine was organized, but with all the appointments they take, you can understand why it may take longer at times. Again, well worth it!!!
