I read another review about the wait times and wow is that accurate. My cousin has been in the office for over 3 hrs and he came in early. We’ve never experienced that before.
This is a fabulous low vision Doctor! I haven’t been there since 2012, but will be going back soon for new frames. I have been going here since I was around 11 or 12 way back in 2002.
I am impressed with Dr. Siwoff and his staff. I have been looking for answers for my sons vision for many years. Dr. Siwoff was the first one able to help him with his revolutionary prism glasses. Everyone at the office is kind, patient and respectful. My son stated while driving after the appt. "Wow, autumn colors have never been so vibrant before these glasses" The immediate improvement in visual processing is beyond amazing. Improved visual acuity, processing, reading, I am still in awe.
Dr. siwoff truly cares about his practice and has significant expertise. However he has a blatant disregard for the time of his patients and wait times in his office can run up to 1-2 hours or more. This is the norm and always the case not just once in a while. I thought this was because he was spending time on emergencies or extra time with patients until one day I had a 9 am appointment, the very first of the day, I waited until 10 and as I was leaving, having not been seen, Dr Siwoff and his wife pulled into the parking lot, top down radio on, Dunkin Donuts coffee in hand......just arriving. He did not return calls from his office staff to his cell phone in that missing hour, nor did his wife. I told the receptionist, who was truly mortified at this inexplicable behavior, that I would not be back and how i felt about all the time I had wasted over the past few years waiting for Dr. siwoff, and yet never did I receive so much as a phone call or note of apology. I understand doctors can't always run like a Swiss watch, but starting your day an hour behind because you can't get to work on time, and making your patients wait is over the top disrespectful.
