An Absolute Hidden Gem! ✨
While looking for something different to eat—close to home and with great reviews—we came across this 💎 gem, and wow… what an experience! The atmosphere is beautiful, the food was incredibly delicious, and the service was truly on point.
We ordered several dishes to try, and I can confidently say every single one was full of flavor and absolutely worth it. Our waiter, Fatih, was amazing—friendly, attentive, and very helpful with recommendations. Thank you, Fatih, for guiding us!
I enjoyed the branzini, mixed grill, and lamb pie, and for dessert, the kunefe with Turkish tea was the perfect finishing touch.
They offer live music on Saturdays, so reservations are recommended. Parking is available on the premises, which makes the visit even more convenient.
⭐ Highly recommend visiting this restaurant—an excellent dining experience from start to finish! ⭐
Amazing first experience with Mediterranean cuisine!
We visited Sofra Turkish and Mediterranean Cuisine for the first time and were truly impressed. We ordered the lamb pie, the branzino fish, Turkish tea, and the kunefe for dessert — everything was delicious, but the kunefe was especially amazing!
We also asked if they had music and learned they host dance events with a DJ on Saturdays, which definitely makes us want to come back more often.
A big thank-you to Fatih for providing outstanding customer service and making our visit even better.
Highly recommended — excellent food, great atmosphere, and top-notch service!
My mom and I had a magical lunch on 8/17 which felt like we were in Istanbul, but it was East Brunswick, NJ! From the moment you walk towards the restaurant, the outside is decorated for a visually pleasing dining experience outside. It was too hot for outside cuisine, therefore, went inside. The decor inside was like you just entered Turkey. Esthetically, it is gorgeous. From the furniture to the chandeliers, it was gloriously enchanting. Our server was kind, attentive and patient. Not to mention the food! My mom had the arugula salad with grilled octopus and I feasted on the ever so popular lahmacan. Authentic and flavorful. For dessert—kenefe—my favorite and it did NOT disappoint. Paired that with a Turkish coffee and this duo was nothing short of perfection. As we were leaving, the owners were humbling gracious, answering my questions regarding the decor (selected by the husband owner) and then allowing me to visit and video the rooms that are reserved for elaborate festivities. There is not one negative comment regarding this experience. I’ll actually be visiting again in a few weeks! I will be a frequent at this establishment and referring it to everyone I know!
You can tell the owners really put a lot of attention and care into this space. My 3 out of 5 is only because Turkish isn’t my favorite cuisine personally, but I would recommend people who do to visit this space. Also bonus point for having photos of the dishes on the menu!
100% Halal and delicious! They do serve alcohol on the premises. The setup of the restaurant is cute and they have party area available as well. We ordered hummus, labne, shepard salad, & Sultan Plate which comes with rice and bread. The service is was mid, they serviced us when food was handed out but for the most part nowhere to be found.
