Alright honestly I’ve never been the type of individual to make a review but I just tried the buffalo soldier burrito and I literally took 2 bites and it taste like sink water and threw the rest out the window. Absolutely vile. I’m a loyal customer and have been coming here for Years I’ve never diverted off what I usually get and I think I’ll just stick to the tacos I always get.
Hawaiian bowl is always the move for me! Also had some chicken tacos, super flavorful! Outside seating is so nice as well!
Great grab and go taco spot! Burrito bowls are great! Mahi was a bit tough, almost jerky like. Salsa bar was great, be sure to try the spicy hot. They were very generous with the chips and guac!
I tried a quick lunch at Surf Tacos in Manasquan. Cool place, clean with a beachy vibe and interior. Service was prompt, which is always good. I ordered the $15 plate with 2 tacos, chips, beans, rice, and a drink that is a substantial meal. Opted for a Mahi and a Surf (breaded cod) taco to mix it up. They have a nice salsa bar, and I tried a little of them all. Drink offers soda or a tea dispenser.
The Cod taco was heavily breaded and not very tasty. Salsa helped. The Mahi was blackened and offered plenty of taste. I'd order it again.
Overall, I was pleased with this taco combo as a lunch option. Service and restaurant were nice, I'll visit again.
My first time going to the Surf Taco and last. I purchased a combo with two tacos, chips, fountain drink, rice and beans. My taco choices were chicken and shrimp. So starting with the chicken taco, the meat tasted charred and burned but was still somehow cold?! It had adequate fixings but they just couldn't mask the terrible taste of the meat and the shrimp taco was just as bad. Something about the shrimp just tasted off and there was way too much cabbage maybe to hide the shrimp taste? I felt like I was having a cabbage taco. Also way to much money for that quality of food. Place was a little messy on the counters but not too bad. Had to go back after leaving because cashier forgot to give me a cup. They did have a cook needed sign, hope they find someone.
