Grew up in the area, but had never been in the mansion. It was amazing. For $3, you got to see all the floors, except the tower (which you can see on a video). Pilar, our guide, was very knowledgeable, & answered all our questions. Being historic, its not handicapped accessible & the steps can be steep at times. We were a small group on a weekday, so we were all able to see everything well, as she talked. Its sooo worth it. No reserving, so get to the visitor center early to get tickets, & walk over to the mansion. Visitor Center staff was very nice, & we looked at the history display there. We will go back & walk around more another day (grounds are free).

Wonderful place for a walk about. Excellent trail info at the visitor center.

No fee to visit the village. $3.00 per adult to take the tour of the Mansion which was well worth it. Sadly due to the recession back in 2008 the village no longer has animals. They still do the carriage ride around the grounds on Sundays. Very nice look into history of the Pine Barrens.

A generously laid out manor house which served as a residence for generations of iron masters thus also reflecting the prosperity during the industrial years. The architecture is interesting somehow reminds of Italy. Unfortunately, not all rooms are open to the public.
