We went on a rainy day, it was awesome! Trails are well maintained & marked / mostly man made board walk. A beautiful hike through the forest, alongside picturesque brooks with a lot of informational plaques, bridges, pavilions & benches to rest. There's a colorful map at the trail head marked with different trails off the main trail. Lots of parking in a paved lot at the nature center.

The Nature Center is filled with informative and interactive displays. There are a few avian residents to view. The staff are always friendly and helpful.
There are multiple trails cut we have only done the one mile walkway which is in pristine condition and perfectly maintained. Easy walk through the woods with a few educational placards. Little elevation change and stroller friendly

Very cool (and free!) nature center. Numerous exhibits featuring local animals. Accessible path through the woods (approx 1 mile long) is one of the nicest and best maintained trails in the state. There are traditional, non-accessible trails also worth exploring. Definitely a must visit for anyone looking for a nice walk in the woods or a free activity for the family on the weekend.

This is a fantastic place for casual hikers, older and younger hikers as well. The path is clean, level, and very well maintained. There are a lot of trails of different lengths. There is plenty of benches along the way, and covered areas with seating. Easy trails for wheelchairs, dogs, and children. There are babbling brooks, and creeks and lots of wildlife. This was our first time here, but not the last. Highly recommended for easy trails and fabulous views.

Wallace Barnes Nature Trail is a 1.1 mile, fully accessible trail behind the Barnes Nature Center. There were plenty of parking spots when I went. It is a level boardwalk with some crushed stones throughout; people can use wheelchairs, strollers, walkers, etc. It goes through the woods so there were plenty of shade. I love that it has benches and shelters, for a quick rest. Those shelters overlooked a stream and field. There are informational signs throughout giving facts about the area. This trail also connects to 5 other trails; those trails are:

    Elmer's Way 0.5 mile
    Blue Trail 0.7 mile
    Yellow Trail 0.2 mile
    White Trail 0.3 mile
    Purple Trail 1.2 mile

My children and I thoroughly enjoyed this very easy walking trail. We are a fan of boardwalks so it was enjoyable and pleasant. There were a few others out enjoying the trail also. I look forward to going back and checking out the other trails as well as the nature center. The nature center was closed when I went (Tuesday) but opens Thursday through Saturday 10-4 and Sunday 12-4. I highly recommend it!
