The staff truly go above and beyond to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere and an exceptional overall experience. Every detail is thoughtfully handled, making the stay both comfortable and memorable. Highly recommended.
Enjoyed our stay. Stayed in Blue Willow room. It had a queen bed and twin so space was very tight. Bathroom was spacious. Comfy beds, nice towels. We (3 of us)were there to sleep and we did. Ashley was very attentive and kind. Great location, quiet, 1 block from beach/boardwalk with plenty to do. Nice balcony. Electric needs updating .
At the risk of complete transparency, I am not sure how this establishment was given a 3-star rating. Perhaps by virtue of the fact that it is a bed-and-breakfast, but that really doesn’t help their cause. Honestly; any hotel or B&B that warns you multiple times, both email and face-to-face, that if you plug in and operate two appliances at once you’ll ‘blow a fuse’, then that alone deserves two stars (and, on top of that, if you do it after 6 pm, you’ll have to pay a $100 service fee). It reminded me of an old shore home my brother and his wife used to own in Seaside Heights. I rented it for a week, and you had to make coffee in the living room or you would blow a fuse…really?!?
Now, a B&B has to get two things right; the ‘bed’ has to be a comfortable, a pleasing one that begs you to curl up in and sleep…and the ‘breakfast’ has to be out-of-this-world. The bed was a full-size bed, and was comfortable. The rest of the room was average at best. Now all the shades had to be down if you wanted any privacy. For example, I looked out the bathroom window and counted no less than TEN windows & doors the neighboring house can look out and see into our bathroom…really??! The breakfast was the worst part. I’ve had better…well, pretty much anywhere. Seriously. Watery scrambled eggs, two minute-sized pieces of bacon and a soggy muffin. This was a serious fail to me. Awful coffee; everything.
On a positive note, again the bed was comfortable enough. There’s a roof top terrace that’s modern to relax on and listen to the ocean. The ocean itself is a little over a block away. The staff were all kind, supportive and hard working, but this building is owned by a large corporation that’s just buying properties in the area and trying to turn a quick profit (you can eat breakfast outside and listen to the loud construction noises across the street of another property they own). This is not a property I will be recommending to anyone in the future.
This is my GO TO place when staying in the Jersey shore!! Let me tell you, coming from a small town, this place makes you feel RIGHT AT HOME!! Located minutes from the beach!!!
The staff is WORLD CLASS and will help with any issues that may arise. They're always so friendly and make you feel like FAMILY!!
The rooms are always clean and inviting!!
Did I mention the COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFAST? Top notch. I feel like I should be paying. No Joke, it's fabulous!! The local restaurants don't even come close!!
This place is a true gem!!
( I actually have been putting off this review because I secretly don't want anyone to know about this best kept secret!! ) I think it's time to share!!
Went here for our girls weekend getaway. This place is clean, cozy and has the best breakfast. Ashley, the inn keeper, baled fresh muffins every day. They were to die for. Fthe beach is steps from this location. Staff was very friendly. Will stay here again.
