The atmosphere was decent for a bar, the food was not great we got the buffalo chicken wrap and the tenders with fries, the fries were okay but we were both disappointed in the rest of the food. We came on a Friday night so it was slightly busy but overall not crazy busy. Our server only asked us for drink order, food order and checked on us once after that. We were overall very disappointed and wont be back.

I've been coming here for several years now. This is my local go to spot.
I always have a good time. In the winter they have bands on weekends inside. There's a full bar, high tops, and a dining room in back. In the summer the bands are outside on their patio. They have smoking and non smoking areas for seating out on the patio. There is also a new VIP lounge outside. Call ahead to reserve. I'm not sure if there's a charge. Ellery's does have an outside bar with seating in two places.
If a popular band like Squad 5 is playing you need to book a reservation way in advance to get a table. (It gets so busy when certain bands play the wait for food can take an hour.)
I ordered their Southwest Cobb Salad-Mixed greens topped with diced avocado, shredded cheddar cheese, hard boiled eggs, black bean salad and diced chicken breast tossed with a southwest ranch dressing.( the dressing is delicious and comes on the side, I always get extra dressing.) I love this salad it so good. As a matter of fact, I ordered it for lunch on a Friday and then went back the next day to see Squad 5 and ordered it a second time. I also enjoy their burgers. They offer 5 different kinds. My favorite is the Original-It comes on a Brioche Bun, with Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion, American Cheese, Mayo on the Side, and Pickles. The Cheeseburger is a nice size and cooked to order. I usually get Sweet Potato Fries. They have Weekly Additions to their menu that are always changing. Ellery's does Catering. They can accommodate 20-120 people.
The servers are all very sweet and nice. They do their best to accommodate everyone. The same with the bartenders.
There is free parking in their lot. It is small so you might have to park on the street or park down the block, or across the street. On Tues nights World Tavern Poker hosts Poker Night 7-9 pm. On Thursday Nights Only they offer Slow Cooked Prime Rib.
Happy Hour is Monday- Friday from 3-6 pm.
Ellery's does have a few handicapped parking spots.

I came here on Labor day night and was unsure if their kitchen was still open. I saw an outdoor area and multiple indoor dining rooms. Initially I was not greeted by a staff member on entry (door by lot) but i found a cook/chef in the back who said the kitchen would close soon and he advised to go around to the bar. I had difficulty getting his attention the first time I walked in from the lot door (I thought he was doing some calculations) and that's why i went outside and found a chef. When I went back into the bar area I was able to get his attention and he was really nice and accommodated me very well despite the kitchen closing in 5 minutes at 9pm. I did not have time to look at the whole menu but i saw the asian chicken salad and a side of fries that piqued my interest, plus i got some lemonade. He asked my name for the order which i thought was a great personal touch, and allowed me to sit at a low table by the window. The food came out fast and was fresh and tasted like quality ingredients. The chicken on the salad was plentiful as was the dressing but i would have liked to see mandarin oranges or fruit added, and romaine/iceberg instead of spring mix. The chicken was juicy and the coating perfect. At $14 a very reasonable price. The fries hit the spot and at $5 was a great portion for the buck. The lemonade was watered down but i do not remember it on the tab. I still took care of the bartender and left full and satisfied. I'm glad i happened upon this place and will return if in the area again. It was close to a place I delivered to prior at Piscataway NJ. I am very sensitive to cleaning solution and fried smells and dumpster smells usually in bar areas and parking lots but i did not have any issues or smell anything offensive including when returning to my car, and that was refreshing. They have multiple free parking areas. Google had two different listings for this place and i submitted an edit to one of the listings to mark it as a duplicate.

Nice stop for a drink or a meal. The food was really good, I had the meatloaf and French Onion soup and would recommend both. The staff is very friendly and accomadating. And they have TVs all over the place. Their parking lot is small, but there is ample street parking available.
