Maria is exceptional! My daughter has worked with Maria starting with eating challenges, and now with social/conversational tools. She is always able to find creative ways to engage my daughter and help her develop new skills.

My 5 year old son has been working with Maria for over a year now in both feeding and speech therapy. Maria has been such a blessing to us. She is definitely an expert in this area and has been so informative and extremely thorough throughout this process. She's very patient, understanding, kind and truly has a love for kids! Maria has discovered things about my son that I never would have seen or noticed until she pointed them out. She really knows her stuff! Maria is very creative when it comes to working hands-on with him. She knows exactly how to keep him engaged, all while tackling issues that typically cause him anxiety. We are beyond pleased with Maria and happy to see progress with our son. He sure does love Maria too and enjoys his session time with her! Thanks for all that you do, Maria!

Miss Maria’s energy and love of working with and helping children just exudes from her. She goes above and beyond to create new and interesting ways to engage her students in activities for speech growth. It’s not every day that you find a professional so committed to helping your child. She listens to parents and often asks for feedback from families in order to make sure your on the same page and comfortable with how the therapy is going. My child liked going to sessions with her and we valued our time collaborating with her.

My son hardly spoke at age 3. We tried speech therapy through places that our insurance has given us. My son or I did not like them. They were not friendly or child friendly. I came across The Speech Square with Maria. My son instantly clicked with her. She worked with him all different ways. He was not constantly repeating the same words. He looked forward to working with her. She is absolutely amazing. We started in March and by the time September came around people could not believe what a difference in his speech. It was amazing.

Maria is patient and kind with my child. She takes a full body and mind approach to speech therapy instead of just having him repeat sounds over and over. In just under a year an old friend got on the phone with him and when I got back on she said "Oh my God! I understood every word he said!" THAT was the biggest compliment to the work she and he have done. And he loves going. He genially has fun, even when he gets frustrated he pushes through because he "loves Ms. Maria." Maria works on muscle strength, tongue exercises and activities- it's so refreshing. After years of working on the same 2 letters at school for years, I am finally seeing improvement and he seems proud of what he does there!
