Our experience at the Spine and Health Center of Park Ridge has been incredible, and I truly cannot say enough about Dr. James. Several years ago, my daughter was diagnosed with scoliosis. We were told it was not severe and that nothing needed to be done. A few years later her curve worsened, she was experiencing a lot of discomfort. The doctor recommended surgery. We wanted to do everything possible to avoid that, so after a lot of research we learned about the Schroth Method and were so grateful to find Dr. James. Even though the office is about a 40-minute drive for us and we were nervous about committing to frequent visits, from the moment we walked in we felt completely at ease. The staff is incredibly warm, friendly, and welcoming, and Dr. James is truly exceptional. He is knowledgeable, compassionate, reassuring, and has a great sense of humor that made both my daughter and I feel comfortable right away. We have been coming once or twice a week and the improvement has been amazing. My daughter has significantly less discomfort and pain, and seeing her feel better has been such a relief. We feel incredibly lucky to have found this practice and highly recommend Dr. James and the Spine and Health Center of Park Ridge to anyone dealing with scoliosis.

I went from barely being able to lift my leg and unable to do any physical activity after a spinal microdiscectomy to being fully back to sports without limitation in just four weeks of physical therapy with Dr. Julianna. She never rushes sessions and takes the time to truly understand my needs. Her deep knowledge of spine rehabilitation and how to target the correct muscle groups made all the difference. I can’t thank her enough — she’s exceptional at what she does! If you need the best I recommend Dr. Julianna!!

Love this place! I've been coming here for a few months to treat injuries from a car accident. Dr. Corey & Dr. James are fantastic. I saw improvement within the first few weeks of treatment. They not only possess the knowledge but also the skill to help you progress, providing individualized treatment plans to each of their patients.

You can tell everyone who works there enjoys what they do & it makes all the difference. I'm always greeted with a warm welcome every time I arrive.

They recently brought on a new Chiropractor (Dr. Michelle) and PT (Dr. Jules) & they are both great as well.

SHC has recently opened a bright, well equipped new location in Park Ridge. I actually followed Dr. James from Montvale to this location because he had done so much to help me overcome/manage my complex array of conditions. He is a scoliosis expert, and did much to stabilize my angle. Since then, he has treated me for other issues, most recently a repaired hip fracture. I am now back to doing most of the activities I was doing before the fracture.

In addition to being a PT expert and now Director of SHC Park Ridge, Dr. James is friendly, compassionate, and nonjudgmental, which makes the therapeutic experience much more pleasant. In fact, all of the staff here are professional and friendly. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone needing physical therapy.
