No wait to get seated, had the best service from our waiter George. Super friendly, you can tell he had been doing this for awhile. Food was super flavorful, left us thinking about it all night. Can’t say enough about our waiter and how good the food was. Amazing atmosphere and experience
This is one of those places that if I was a local (from Erie, pa area) it would be one of my main go-to's.
Easily one of the best breakfasts I've had in a while, and the service was top notch.
I tell you. Its was hard to give a 4 star in any of these rating but I had to because there is always a better service.
The food was so so good and fresh. Atmosphere was so appealing.
It was my wifes 50th Birthday weekend and when we went there for breakfast, we had to come back for dinner and breakfast again cause it was just 2 mins away from our hotel.
The ladies were so pleasant and polite..if you are reading ( a bald guy even joked with my bald head as well) I love these guys. You are the best. I promise you, we are coming back. Thank God its just also 18 mins from our home.
I recommend this place 10 times over. Kids , family and groups would be comfortable. Keep it up guys. Thanks to the guys in the kitchen too. You are appreciated.
Situated on the former site of the Versailles Diner, the owner Nick has followed in his father’s footsteps and expanded the family business, West Essex Diner, located on Route 46 East in Fairfield, where my partner and I decided to pay them a visit today.
Upon arrival as first-timers, this upscale establishment was fully energized by the music as a local favorite waited for their names to be called for a table from the host, who I knew from a different diner.
Within 30 minutes, we managed to get a table by the window at one of the two dining rooms, evoking an airy, bright, and casual vibe.
Their menu has everything one can imagine. There were pages of breakfast options and different lunch and dinner options.
We decided on the California Benedict and Meat Gyro open platter, accompanied by a small cup of Cream of Turkey and a large Greek salad. I must have been hungry and forgot to take pictures. 😬🤫😜😂. The food was exceptionally tasty. It was busy for a Sunday but not stressed; there were lots of staff, and things moved along efficiently. Our server, Sergio, was friendly and accommodating. The price was comparable to the area, and the portions were healthy.
This is a true example of New Jersey Diner!
