My mother passed away in another state. Jim ,Nick and Elizabeth handled all of the difficulties of transporting, and extra documentation for my family. They were extremely helpful throughout the process, making it less difficult and stressful though the entire time. I can not thank them enough for the compassion and kindness they gave my family. It was extremely comforting that our mother was given a gift of love for her final journey.

    "Compassionate, Professional and Truly Caring"
We recently entrusted Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home with the arrangements for the sudden passing of our son Simon, and we couldn't be more grateful for their compassion and professionalism.
From the moment we contacted Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, we were treated with compassion, empathy, respect and care. The entire staff made an incredibly difficult time a little more bearable guiding us through every detail of the funeral arrangements with professionalism and heartfelt support.
They were attentive to our family's wishes and handled everything with dignity - from the obituary to the service planning and every little detail in between. The facility is peaceful and beautifully maintained, and we felt comforted knowing our loved one was in such caring hands.
Thank you again for helping us honor our son Simon in such a meaningful way.

They made the most horrible time in my life so much easier. All I had to do was concentrate on me. They did everything they could to ease my pain. They even helped me deal with me.I'm consider the staff at Vanderbilt-Platt part of my extended family. I am so grateful that I stumbled upon such a wonderful group of people who truly understand what I was going thru and helped me greatly to get thru it. Jim and Kathleen are two of the finest people I have ever met.
