It’s was a nice ride for the family. The fee is per car so it’s reasonable. Kids enjoyed it. It takes about 10-15minutes to complete the ride. If you live more than 40 minutes away you may not find it worth it, but we had planned the day in the area and this location fit within our plans.
$51.98 per car is a bit overpriced but with everything increasing in price it’s just expected. It’s nice they offer snacks for sale, don’t expect gourmet but something like going to the fair, fried and salty. Food prices are reasonable between $3-$7. I like it, it’s nice to have especially while you wait.
Wait times can be long but that’s because everyone tries to go at the same time so compare it to rush hour traffic. Between 5:30-7:30pm expect long wait times. Show up early like 5-5:15 and beat the “traffic”. Or show up after which is closer to 8pm and you have less people. It starts at 5:30pm and ends 9:45pm. Obviously popular days like weekends or super close to Christmas will be packed. I’m just lucky as a stay at home mom and business owner I can see these lights on a random Tuesday or Sunday evening without the worry of a 9-5 job. Mommas out there know kids are three 9-5 jobs with no breaks, we’re just trying to survive. Stuck for 1hr in non-moving cars is a meltdown waiting to happen. Plan accordingly and you can avoid the complaints other people make. Squish yourselves into 1 car though! Multiple cars and you’re spending as much as a ticket to Disneyland without the rides.
No pictures as I think that’s unfair to the drive through but it is a lot of lights! Go slow! People in front of you going faster? Who cares, you don’t need to follow their pace. Enjoy the lights and go at your pace. They allow 2-3 miles an hour, that’s SLOW. Get your moneys worth. Play eye spy and see every detail. Just
We paid $40 for a 10-minute show, and the wait time was way too long. It would have been much nicer if it were a walk-through experience, where kids could run around and enjoy the moment. The funnel cakes we bought from the food truck was ice cold. I’m assuming it had been sitting for a while uncovered. Anyways, it wasn’t worth it.
We were excited to come here. We waited for a little over an hour. Which i was anticipating on a Saturday night and was cool with, because we thought it was gonna be worth it. However, it wasn’t in my opinion. For one, people had their brights on behind us the entire time. I understand the staff tells you in the front to turn headlights off. But i wish they had people inside also telling people that. Having brights lighting up your car and blinding you is not cool. It’s advertised on their website it takes about 20-30 minutes to get through. That was not that case at all, maybe 10 minutes. Mind you, we were going less than 5 mph the entire time. When i saw on the website it would take 20-30 minutes i was thinking it would be a longer trail and more to see. For $50, it’s underwhelming. There was also some lights out along the ride which was disappointing.
Looking forward to going again in a few weeks! This is about my last year's experience -
There's alot of light festivities during the holiday season, but few that let you stay warm "indoors".
This local drive through was a short and sweet, while still featuring quite a few themes (under the sea, 12 days of christmas, for our heros). The musical timing is done really well, and I especially loved the many car light tunnels. Definitely better than I had expected.
Online purchase and ticket booth check-in was super easy, the staff we talked to were friendly and warm. My only gripe was the pricetag ($30+) is a bit steep for the length of entertainment (20min), but we tried to maximize with 7 people in our minivan =) would be nice if it allowed re-entry during not-so-busy times.
