Max from Wires was the greatest!!! ... He installed light fixtures in both of Mom's bathrooms and a ceiling fan in my bedroom and hung up my dragonfly pull chain. Max is a great worker,very polite and cleaned up all the boxes.
Fast response + able to troubleshoot a solution for an emergency outage in middle of the night.
Short summary: Great service, incredibly responsive to an emergency, got me up and running again in under 24 hours.
Long story: JCP&L installed a smart meter at my house in Feb 2024. Unbeknownst to me or them, they damaged my meter socket when they put in the new meter. This caused bad contact between the meter and the socket, which caused the meter to overheat and melt insulation on the mains wires. Somehow this went undetected until Dec 12 2024, when the smart meter reported that it was overheating. JCP&L quickly came out, removed the meter, and disconnected my service. I called Wires asking if they could respond to this emergency, and Dale showed up less than 20 minutes later. He took care of everything from there, guiding me through how to talk to JCP&L to get the right support and getting an electrician out to replace the meter socket that night. He called JCP&L on my behalf several times to help push the process along. My house is now warming up and I'm hoping that this time JCP&L didn't blow up the darn socket again.
