1177 @Greystone

We’ve been here two months now and have really enjoyed all the amenities. Michelle, the Leasing agent, and Michael the Maintenance Manager have been super helpful in answering all our questions and resolving any issues. Michael has gone out of his way to make sure we could plug in our PHEV in the really nice parking garage. Contrary to other posts, yes you control your own AC and heat in your apartment.

For over three years I have lived at 1177 Greystone and find it a very comfortable and pleasant place to live. I especially like the fact that the building is small which allows the residents to form a community of support. Not only is the apartment convenient and well designed, but Michael is always responsive to any repair or service needed. He’s knowledgeable about what needs to be done and does whatever he can to help. He and Margarita keep the building clean and in good order, even the trash and recycle rooms! Michelle, Michael, and Margarita have always been friendly, competent, and helpful and are such assets to our building!

This is a beautiful building with unparalleled views of the Hudson River. The staff are wonderful and made me feel welcomed when I moved in in December. They handle all questions and issues quickly and efficiently. The building is maintained very well and everything is convenient - the garage parking, mail and package rooms, luggage carts for heavy packages, storage units on the same floor as my apartment. This building and the people who work here have made my transition from a large house to apartment living easier and more fun than I expected.

August 2025: I am updating my review as I am halfway into my fourth year in the building. I still love living here and cannot imagine a better apartment or location. The building is smaller than the other GDC buildings here on Warburton and this is a big plus - there is a true sense of community here.

I want to particularly commend our "Super" Michael. He is indeed super, very responsive and seems to know how to fix anything and everything. It is wonderful to have someone to call on who is upbeat and a pleasure to work with. He adds to the enjoyment of living here. I highly recommend this wonderful building.

Michael, the building Superintendent is fabulous. He is knows how to fix anything and does it with a smile. He really runs the building and keeps it in tip top shape.

Safe, secure building with beautiful and serene view of the Palisades and American flags. Hiking trail across the street that takes you to Quarry Park (Hastings), The Keeper's House (Dobbs), Untermeyer Gardens (Yonkers), and even a secret butterfly garden. Walking distance to the Metro-North train to Grand Central that has a Lost & Found with a 95% recovery rate. I would still recommend getting a car. Lovely folks in all 3 buildings (please bring back the DJ and social events) but MICHAEL and Michelle are the best! Very responsive and responsible. No complaints.
