When I was 7 years old, I always loved going to the American Veterans Memorial Pier because it was very peaceful and no disruptions. There was always a hot dog stand or the Ice cream truck coming to the American Veterans Memorial Pier whenever it was a great time to start their business. There was a lot of kids playing around, riding on their bicycle, and skating which's pretty cool. I still remember when there was a firework show in the night, and people would record it or take pictures and then posted it on social media. Which was pretty amazing and nice to see people enjoying it!! There was this one time that I remember when me and my family went to the same place again during the night and I was so confused of what was going on until I see that there were also many people going to the American Veterans Memorial Pier. Apparently, it was a celebration because there were actual soldiers who have served in the military while holding the flag and their own equipment's. There was also a person who was giving a speech which it was meaningful and empathy. I think everyone were given candles on the cup because I'm guessing they wanted us to hold on to it before we blow it out. I'm miss living here because I had so many friends, cool teachers, a good childhood and bro if you guys ever went to the Deli's and asked them what sandwiches you want, they know how to PROPERLY make the sandwiches and trust me, they don't play with their food because they want to make sure it taste FANTASTIC and get paid so yeah, but now I lived in New Jersey and everything isn't the same anymore, but I will always hold on to those memories and share this moment with everyone. THANK YOU FOR READING THIS AND HAVE A FANTASTIC DAY!! 😼😼😼
Nice spot for fishing, biking, or jogging with great skyline views and a cool breeze — just note there are no restrooms nearby.
Lovely peaceful place to have a time out from the chaos whilst taking in some breathtaking sights of the city from The Bay Ridge side
I always love coming here. I first started coming here 45 years ago when I met my late husband. Then as we started having children we would bring them here (3 children).
I lost my husband on January 2024 and I wanted to come here and reminisce on those beautiful days.
This is a great fishing 🎣 place amd it allows bikes and dogs. There's tables where you can and or eat. The view is AMAZING!
I especially love watching the sunset. These pictures show the sun going down.
From the second picture on the photos doesn't show exactly the color that I saw the son as it was slowing settling. The color was actually a bright red orange.
I guess you have to be there to experience it 🤷 😉
1st time visiting this park of Brooklyn so I decided to see the park nearby and this pier. 1st pier over looks the lower NY bay on the hudson river. There's plenty of sitting available and you csn bring your 🐕 as long as they are leashed . Only parking available is street parking however it is not hard to find. Sadly only restrooms you'll find are located in owl park which is few blocks away. You csn also get here by NYC ferry which has a stop on the pier. You csn go bike riding or go for a walk along the path next to the belt parkway. You see the lower Manhattan skyline to the north straight ahead staten island and verrazano bridge to the south. It's cool spot to relax and take in the views and watch the waves.
