    Vimala (Tammy) is exceptional. She is very knowledgeable, passionate, and brings such positive energy when teaching. The staff is kind and very professional and the place is kept so beautifully clean. I am very pleased and would recommend this place with no hesitation. Kuddos to our teacher Vimala she is awesome!!!

    I chose the YTT at Ananda Ashram Yoga because of Vimala’s magnetic personality and teaching style. She is dedicated to her students and her personal practice. I simply wanted to deepen my asana practice and gain a better understanding of Yogic philosophy. I found this and so much more! My enthusiasm for Yoga intensified with each joyous day. I am looking forward to leading and sharing the practice of Yoga with confidence now. I have so much gratitude for this immersion with Vimala, Ananda Ashram and my fellow students. I highly recommend this YTT and all of the classes.

    The YTT program at Ananda Ashram is exceptional. You will be studying under the care and support of the entire Ashram (volunteers, residents and staff) learning and practicing the Yoga-Vedanta teachings of Shri Brahamanda Saraswati, Sanskrit classes with master Bharathi, Karma Yoga with Karmananda and the YTT teacher Vimala Devi brings the lineage of New York City master Dharma Mittra. This program is far more than Yogasana; It is a full immersion emboding the 8 limbs. Om Shanti 🙏

    I stayed at the Ashram for a week, and took many classes with many different instructors. They offer a very wide variety of classes, from Pranayama and Yoga Nidra to Hatha, and even dance meditation.

    I took several classes with GEENA, and absolutely loved every one. She is extremely knowledgeable about anatomy and alignment, and really helped me improve many postures that I had already been practicing. She has a wonderful positive energy, keeps the class light and humorous, but is precise and clear in her instructions. Thank you Geena!

    I took Pranayama, yoga nidra, and Self Inquiry with Yehnamsah. I also had the privilege to spend time with her in discussion about these subjects. Highly recommended. Thank you Yehnamsah.

    Dana is also a wonderful instructor, with a lovely positive energy, who I took a couple of classes with. She excels at giving variations that make poses adjustable to your level (on that day, as she would say!) I was also lucky enough to have a class with Ksenia Lila on my last day. She is a lovely person and an excellent teacher. I hope to explore more of her teachings soon.

    Overall, I was very happy at this opportunity to explore this studios offerings, and recommend it very highly.

    Love the room, wood floors white walls and big plants, sounds of the forest outside. Highly recommend Vimala’s classes, she is great. Most classes right now are gentle/aimed at beginners, experienced yogis try the Vinyasa 2/3 or Dharma Yoga.
