Artis Senior Living of Somers

My father has moved in a week ago and the location is gorgeous. The food speaks for itself my father was not eating properly for such a very long time and now he sits down and eats the whole meal with friends that he met. He has only been there a week, but every staff member greets him with his name and is always cheerful and engaging.

I feel like he is safe and well taken care of.

The afternoon aide, Sharon is sweet, always engaging and Extremely safety minded.

This is the first week in two years that I leave my father and feel like he will be just fine.
Taking care of a person with dementia is a job that one person really cannot do. Giving up control is hard but once it is done, It is truly a relief.

I had many wonderful experiences at Artis of Somers! The executive director, Terry, is exceptionally caring, empathetic, and helpful. The cheerful front desk staff creates a welcoming atmosphere. Their innovative memory care program truly stands out as they go above and beyond for every resident. Highly recommended!

When Artis was recommended, I could not believe how wonderful a facility it is to support my elderly mother. We raced against time to transfer Mom to a supportive environment, and the staff at Artis was beyond accommodating and guided us through every step of the process. Months later, I cannot say enough about their neighborhoods, activities, care team members, and staff. Thank you! You have given our family peace of mind, knowing Mom is safe and engaged in activities. The rooms are comfortable, and the dining areas feel like home. I love the lounge facilities and the community room where residents play games, do puzzles, or visit with therapy dogs, among other events. The ongoing communication is amazing. Their focus on their resident's well-being is superb. Artis is family. I highly recommend Artis!!!!

I have visited Artis in Somers a number of times. Patti has always been so kind and informative. As an occupational therapist, I love to see the layout of Artis. I love the “neighborhoods” , the outdoor walking path and the shadow boxes at the residents doors with their familiar pictures. The techniques they use to assist their residents to be as independent as possible with the memory support they need is just amazing. The staff are always so helpful and welcoming. I think it’s an awesome home-like facility for residents with dementia.
