Update: spent 3 days in the ER area surrounded by beds all over the hallway. Multiple things happened to warrant security involvement. This is an unsafe situation. Had to wait 3 days after being admitted before receiving a room. Transferring to another hospital was not an option.
Concerned about the well being of people in the hospital as well as the staff who are spread way too thin.

If you have life-threatening medication, bring it with you.
We asked over 10 times for a heart medication normally taken at 7 PM. It wasn’t given until after 2:30 AM. If I hadn’t been there to advocate, it likely wouldn’t have been given at all. The doctor had prescribed it for the morning, a dangerous oversight.

In addition, we arrived at 4:30 PM. It’s now 2:30 AM (10 hours later) and we still haven’t seen a doctor or received any real information.

Spent most of the night in a hallway of a hallway. Did not receive periodic check-ins or basic care unless we asked directly. Forgotten about for most of the night.

This hospital is overcrowded and overwhelmed. Staff are too stretched to provide safe or timely care.
