I grew up here this is all I know. One of the best places in New York City to live. Excluding transportation
Grew up here. The park has definitely died compared to its hayday almost a decade ago. I still come here to practice. I like the view from within the courts and the trees that surround the park. I like looking up during the summer and seeing a clear unobstructed view of the sky.
What I don't like is that the courts have plants growing through the concrete which makes playing ball tedious. As now I have to consciously avoid dribbling on certain spots or am forced to raise my foots natural drag several inches higher to not get tripped up by the intruders.
Nonetheless it's good vibes.
Use the bars to workout. Never crowded.
This is not really a playground. This area has benches to sit on and a few skinny trees to look at. This area is a good place to sit and relax when the weather is nice. It is used mostly by the housing complex residents.
Grew up in the area.. playground is nice.. got remodeled a couple years back and still in good condition.. my son loves it
