Our old kitchen cabinets, still the originals from a prewar building, had suffered decades of neglect and abuse. John arduously removed layer upon layer of shellac, enamel, paint, lacquer . . . , sanded the wood smooth, added strips of wood where there were gaps between cabinet doors and frame, filled holes and dents with woodfiller and painstakingly stained the woodfiller to the color of the maple wood. He then sprayed the cabinet doors and frame with several layers of lacquer. Putting the doors back on, he had to enlarge the mortise holes for the new and slightly bigger hinges. None of this work was easy or straight forward because some of the cabinet doors were warped or had been shaved down.
I could not be happier with the end result and would highly recommend John.

Bauer finish did a lot of work on my house. One of the major job was to repair cracked concrete in foundation. It was a lot of work for one man job with little assistance. The quality of the job is superb. He takes pride in his work. Very highly recommend!
