Beso Taco Bar

I went here for my first time with my girlfriends Saturday evening. Honestly everything was pretty good except for the shrimp ceviche. I only had 2 bites of it before I knew it was no good. The waiter didn’t really address the fact that the plate was untouched until the end of our night after we got our bill when I’d declined a to go box. I said I didn’t like the dish. Most places would’ve taken it off the bill but I didn’t care too much to make any sort of deal about it. But those 2 measly bites of the shrimp ceviche kickstarted my downfall. I was woken up out of my sleep last night around 3 am to violent puking. Saw very clearly the (incredibly delicious) Mexican corn appetizer that I’d enjoyed about 6 hours beforehand. Great restaurant. Sneaky Trojan horse shrimp ceviche that ruined the rest of my night and following morning. Long story short, don’t order the shrimp ceviche. I should’ve known something was off when it was listed as coming with saltine crackers. Also came with cocktail like sauce. Weird

Alana is absolutely amazing! She makes the perfect drinks every time and always greets us with such great energy. She’s super attentive, outgoing, and genuinely makes the experience at Beso Taco Bar even better. Honestly, we come here because of her! (Though the rest of the staff is great too 😊) — Alana just goes above and beyond every single time. Highly recommend stopping by and asking for her!

We came here for happy hour during the week. There wasn’t very many people, so we got a seat right by the water and the views were stunning. The spicy margaritas were some of the best I’ve had in my entire life. I forgot to take pictures of the food, but the elote was phenomenal. My only gripe was that the happy hour only included three of the tacos on the menu.

As a frequent customer, almost every Sunday, I can say that Beso is a total gem in Newburgh! Exotic, flavorful Mexican dishes with stunning Hudson River views. I always ask for a watermelon margarita. Lord God!!! So exotic and tasteful cocktail! The one and only to see God with just one sip. Alana, at the bar, is amazing, friendly, and always attentive, and makes every visit unforgettable for me. A must-visit!

I had a great time at Beso’s. I went a little after they opened on a weekday so it wasn’t busy at all. The staff was very friendly and the food came out super fast. The business model is definitely a variation of Hudson Taco but it’s a completely different atmosphere and I enjoy their take on Mexican flavors. Everything I tasted was delicious! The fish taco, gas. The pina colada creme brulee?? Insane. I would for sure come back especially on a beautiful day by the water.
