Every year the same thing happens. They plow really close to the mailboxes across the street and 10' away on our side. I've complained about it but it never changes. I paid someone a lot of money to shovel really well yesterday and now it's all plowed in again. Now it's all heavy wet snow and I can't shovel it myself and can't afford to pay a lot of money again so the mailman probably won't even stop.
Update: I called the Highway Department to complain and they actually sent a plow again fairly quickly and plowed much closer to my mailbox so I added 2 stars. But it remains to be seen if they end up plowing far away again next time.
I’ve lived in Ridge for 18 years and we have the worst roads in the township. What are we anyway? The red headed step child of Brookhaven? For petes sake, people have to drive in the oncoming lane to get through the light on Middle Country Road at Smith Street. You guys are putting up new signals but ignore the danger that the potholes in Ridge pose. **Update** 11-7-2020. They just paved the aforementioned section of road in Ridge, so I raised the rating from one to three. Thank you!
