Came here with my friends yesterday 10/10 recommend!! Beach is free and so clean and beautiful! They have food places along the board walk as well ! Be mindful they do check bags tho but not throughly!
The Long Beach NY Lifeguard Headquarters stands as a beacon of safety for all visitors to the area. Strategically located, this facility ensures that help is always nearby, making beachgoers feel secure and well-looked-after. The professionalism and dedication of the lifeguards on duty are commendable. Their quick response and constant vigilance make the beach experience both enjoyable and safe. For anyone visiting Long Beach, knowing that this headquarters is close by adds an extra layer of comfort. Kudos to the entire team for their outstanding service!
Great place to take the kids, the parents, the singles, the couples, the aged, the disabled, and everyone in between. Plenty of seating. There are almost 1,000 benches (Yes, I counted them!!) along the 2.1-mile stretch of Brazilian hardwood. This Boardwalk was completely rebuilt after Super Storm Sandy and it is breathtakingly beautiful.
During regular hours bathrooms are available. Food vending is available on most nice days. There’s also a food truck lot on Riverside Ave with wheeled vendors of the brick-and-mortar restaurants in town. You will not leave hungry!
Come for the sunrises, the sunsets, or (better!) for both! I hope to see you there. Plenty of free parking. Bring the kids but please leave the pets at home. The Boardwalk is off limits to our furry friends because they want to make it enjoyable for everyone.
A perfect place to relax on a weekend. The views and the boardwalk are to die for. Witnessed sunset at the evening and it was rejuvenating to say the least.
The food choices are not great but that's okay. If you want a quick day trip outside from New York City, this is the place to go.
Nice sand beach in NY. Don't understand why it is prohibited to skate on the boardwalk, only bikes or pedestrians (??). The entrance fee to the beach for non residents is quite expensive, but is rewarded by well maintained facilities (dressing rooms, showers, restrooms). Could improve people awareness about keeping the beach clean putting garbage in the bins.
