Today was a beautiful day to be on the water. Although fishing was light, this boat has the best mates. No matter what you need, they are always happy to help. And they are ready to answer any questions you may have and are always ready with a helpful suggestion. They also have the best captains. They know all the good spots and always try their best to put us in the best position to catch fish. If you are not seeing any fish, they are quick to make the right adjustments or moves to find fish. For me, I love being on the water with a bunch of other friendly fishermen and crew. A little reggae on the speaker and I am a happy man. Catching fish is the cherry on top. The Celtic Quest is MY boat. Whether I go from Port Jefferson, NY or Mattituck, NY, I am assured a great time. Fish or no fish.
Big thank you to the crew on this boat. We took a trip out Sunday morning and it was the best fishing experience we’ve ever had. My daughter and son must have caught at least 15-20 fish each! Everyone was having a good time and the crew was great! They were running around making sure everyone had bait, unhooking fish over and over again(full buckets all around) and even filleted them for us. 10/10 would recommend!
OMG. I can't from NJ to fish on this boat. A 2 hour drive!!! Guess what I will never go on any other boat but this one. My husband never caught this much fish. We will be driving 2 hours for now on. We found our place.
I always fish on the Celtic Quest fishing boat, and I highly recommend it to everyone. I am very happy with the crew and Captain Mark, who is truly awesome. During a recent trip, my rod broke, and he was kind enough to offer me one of his own, which I really appreciated. I love fishing passionately, and losing my rod was quite sad because I couldn't fish for a while.
I enjoy going on this boat because it is always super clean, and the staff/mates are incredibly friendly. I love the Celtic Quest and highly recommend it to all fishing enthusiasts!
This was my fifth trip with Celtic. We always had a great time before, so I brought my friends along this time. Unfortunately, this trip was disappointing.
We boarded at 6:26am and picked our seats, expecting a relaxing day. But almost an hour later, a crew member told us we had to move because the seats were reserved for a group. The new spot had no chairs, and it was inconvenient. My friends were disappointed too, especially since it was their first time fishing.
I understand the need to reserve spots for groups, but please inform guests clearly at boarding or mark the reserved seats to avoid disrupting the trip experience next time.
We still appreciate your service overall and truly hope you can improve this arrangement so every future guest can leave with a happy memory.
