Wow. Just wow. The food was phenomenal. I have been to all the upscale Russian restaurants and this one had some of the best food yet. The veal sauté, the mushroom julien, the dolma (best I’ve had), the Kebabs, the salads… the chefs took simple dishes and elevated them to be a gastronomic experience. I am so glad we stopped in. We’ll be back! The service was phenomenal as well.
What a fantastic place! The burgers are simply amazing, the kebab is excellent, and the duck is simply superb! Even liver, which I've never liked, is cooked so well here that I devoured it with great pleasure!
Another really cool dish: kutaby with meat or herbs, something between a pie and a cheburek, I recommend it to everyone!
Really simply decorated place. The food was just ok, fresh but not impressive. The service was good. You can bring your own liquor, hard liquor -no charge, vine - $15 cork fee. We were there on Thursday so many dishes (probably a better ones) were not available. A bit disappointing experience since it was recommended to us.
We had an absolutely wonderful experience yesterday at Chateau Yaffa. Food and the entire event was excellent. However, today I must commend the exceptional staff. The waiters were not only professional, quick, and exceptionally polite, but also incredibly kind and warm. Each of them was attentive and friendly. We frequently attend and host events in Brooklyn, but this was the first time we left with such a memorable experience, thanks to the impeccable service.
The owner should be extremely proud of such an outstanding team!
Thank you Chateau Yaffa for making our event a success!
In recent years, the building has been occupied by a number of different restaurants, including a Chinese restaurant, a pizza place, and a Mexican restaurant, this current restaurant I think is better than anything that was there before.
The place was full with clients, only one or two tables were available. Food was very tasty, the soups tasted the way they supposed to, I took Kharcho, it tasted right and had good amount of meat in it. Pâté was very good, I finished an entire order by myself. They had a good choice of beers that were priced right. Heard they have good pastrami sandwiches, but that I decided to take next time. Place is clean, waiters are very attentive and helpful. You should also try their vareniki and pastries btw, totally awesome.
