Cool Breeze Charters - NY Boat Lessons

Just completed my second boating lesson with Captain Tony and I am totally impressed by him. My first lesson was all about docking & maneuvering the boat in close quarters. The second lesson was on open water … with emphasis on emergency avoidance and we even did some man-overboard drills. I have prior boating experience, but our new boat is larger and I needed guidance on docking and handling a larger boat. Captain Tony is professional, courteous and patient. He gave me tips on how to use the wind and current to my advantage while boating. We had such a good experience with Captain Tony that I decided we will sign up for a refresher course each year. I highly recommend Captain Tony for anyone looking to take their boating skills to the next level.

There are not enough words to describe how amazing our boat lessons were with Captain Anthony! He is extremely knowledgeable, patient, personable, and an all around great guy! In just 2 lessons my husband was confident in docking our new boat and handling different maneuvers that may arise out on the water! We plan on taking 2 more lessons next spring! I cannot recommend Captain Anthony enough!

I can’t say enough about Captain Tony! His knowledge, effective communication, and calm demeanor made lessons both in the classroom and on the water a truly enjoyable experience. He focuses first and foremost on boat safety, but also helps you to understand how the wind, water, and boat work together to help make you a confident captain. I will definitely be signing up for more lessons!

Captain Tony was amazing! I had never had a boat or driven a boat before and In less than three hours, I gained the confidence and skills to be able to pivot and dock with ease. He is so patient and his system of teaching was amazing. I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants to improve their skills or learn how to operate their boat safely. I’m planning on hiring him again for open water lessons to learn how to tackle the Great South Bay.

Captain Tony was awesome! He took us through all the safety information, gave us hands on experience. Taught us how to get on and off the dock. How to avoid obstacle in the water. How to pick up a person overboard. How to put down an anchor. Taught us about the pivot point, wind direction, and current. He showed us how to use the throttle. We learned about markers and channels and speed zone. He was extremely patient and a great teacher. Very thorough. I highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to operate a motor boat or even those who are just passengers on one.
