I cannot say enough good things about this Sachem Animal Hospital and Dr. Blakely. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a friendly staff who genuinely seem happy to be there. Everyone takes the time to chat, offer treats, and show real affection to my dogs, I mean literally! one of the techs was on the floor with my pup!

Dr. Blakely is exceptional. He is incredibly thorough, thoughtful, and informative, breaking everything down in a way that’s easy to understand without ever feeling rushed or dismissive. You can tell he truly loves animals and takes his responsibility to care for them seriously.

After losing my Rottweiler a few years ago under the care of another provider, where I often felt dismissed and sent home with unanswered questions, it was deeply reassuring to find a vet I can truly trust. I never feel that lingering “what if” here. Switching to Dr. Blakely for my two Great Danes and my Chihuahua has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my pets! I am beyond happy with the care Dr. Blakely provides and feel confident knowing my fur babies are in, capable hands. Highly recommend!

I brought my bulldog Anna to Sachem Animal Hospital this past week for her annual wellness exam and vaccinations, and once again, they reminded me why I’ve trusted them for over 12 years.

During the visit, I pointed out a growth on the back of her neck to Dr. Blakely. He and his team performed a fine needle aspiration and took the time to walk me through every possible outcome in clear, thoughtful detail. He was reassuring, patient, and made sure I felt informed and comfortable while we wait for results—letting me know he’d contact me as soon as they came in. That kind of communication makes all the difference when you’re worried about your fur-kid.

The very next day, I received a prompt call with results from Anna’s other tests, which I truly appreciated.

The new facility is beautiful—clean, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed—but what really stands out is the staff. Every person you encounter is kind, attentive, and you can tell they genuinely love the animals that walk through the door.

It’s been wonderful to watch Sachem Animal Hospital grow and expand into this new space while maintaining the same level of compassionate, top-notch care they’ve always provided. I wouldn’t take my little ones anywhere else.

Dr. Robert Blakely is an amazing veterinarian. He is incredibly kind, patient, and truly cares about the animals he treats. I brought my cat to see him and was so impressed by how gentle and attentive he was. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does, and that makes such a difference. I’m very grateful to have found him and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a vet who truly cares.

I want to thank Dr Myers and all of the staff who helped! My girl Luna required surgery. Everyone took the time to make sure that she was well taken care of and loved. Dr. Myers is one of the best who always explains everything whenever I go there so I have an understanding of exactly what’s going to happen or is what is needed. I had adopted Luna Around the time of Covid. At that time, the parents couldn’t go in with your pets and it was very hard to have somebody come out and take your pet in for a doctor visit not knowing how they will be. But would put me at ease is every time that Luna arrived for her doctors appointment she’s very excited to go in and see everyone. At that point, I knew she was being very well taken care of even with me not around in the room. Thank you so much to Dr. Myers and all the other doctors that have also assisted in Luna’s care. The staff are nothing but kind and caring. Thank you!! 🫶🏻
