We took the tour on the art deco landmarks of midtown with Jeremy and had a really great time. I can only confirm what other customers have already emphasized, namely that Jeremy is very knowledgeable, extremely well-prepared, and the tour overall very detailed and informative. Even if you thought you knew your classics (Chrysler Building etc.), you will definitely learn a lot during the tour, and discover gems you had not noticed before, (and probably would never have, had your attention not be drawn to them). I highly recommend it.
Victorian Flatbush
This was an interesting, informative and well-paced walking tour. Jeremy provided area chronology with facts and actual photos (not an e-device). As well as the large Victorians in the Historic District, we saw apartment buildings built subsequently, and more modest houses outside the landmarked area. Of great interest was the historic Knickerbocker Field Club with clubhouse and tennis courts tucked away beside the Q train tracks. We ended up on bustling Cortelyou Road at a beautiful mural depicting local history. Thanks, Jeremy!
My partner and I went on Jeremy's Art Deco tour of Midtown and it was phenomenal. We not only got to see some of our favorite NYC landmarks, but learned so much rich history of the area and the landmarks, also. Jeremy's Art Deco tour was definitely one of the high(est) points of our 8-day NYC trip. Thank you, Jeremy!
I thoroughly enjoyed Jeremy's tour of Brooklyn Heights & DUMBO walking tour. He is friendly and very knowledgeable about both local history and the larger background history of the US. He told stories, stories, wonderful stories. He expanded his story when we showed greater interest. What a great walking tour. I would use Jeremy again. As a bonus, he would show photos, drawings and maps on a i-pad he carried.
I took the 1964-1965 World's Fair Tour of Corona Park in Flushing Meadows, Queens with Jeremy. At first I figured, "I have read a lot about the fair, done a lot of research, what can this guy possibly tell me that I don't know?" The answer was, a lot. Jeremy was so knowledgeable not only on the fair, and about Queens, but about New York City in general. His passion shone through and really made it seem like he was so proud to be sharing this information with me. He kept a very realistic pace, and was able to cover the tour in exactly 2 hours. The tour included admission to the Queens Museum, which is a place I never would have visited if not for this tour, and believe me, it is a very worthwhile stop.
I balked at the $100 price for a tour like this at first, but I will tell you definitively that it was worth more than that. I am so happy I took this tour and so happy Jeremy was the guide. I can not encourage you enough to follow in my footsteps.
