The eye doctor was excellent and very professional. However, my experience with the front desk staff was concerning. Both my mother and I were each charged a $20 copay. To confirm, I contacted my insurance company, and they verified that I do not have a copay for this visit. I then called the office back to clarify the charge. Initially, the staff insisted it was for the copay, but when I explained what my insurance told me, they changed their explanation and claimed it was for providing my eyeglass prescription.

It is important to note that a copay and an eyeglass prescription are two separate matters. Furthermore, according to the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) Eyeglass Rule, eye doctors are not permitted to charge patients a separate fee to provide a copy of their prescription after an exam.

While I truly appreciate the doctor’s care, the handling of billing and transparency from the staff was disappointing and should be addressed.

David is a super sweet, friendly & helpful guy, couple years now I start doing my daughter glass here, and I would highly recommend him to anyone….. thank you David. Very much appreciated your kindness.
