We can’t say enough wonderful things about The Boatel in Kismet! We had family and friends stay there for our daughter’s wedding weekend on Kimet and everything was absolutely perfect. The rooms were beautiful, spotless, and spacious, with so many amenities. Its location overlooks the Great South Bay and the setting couldn’t have been more beautiful with that Fire Island vibe.
Dan and Justine went above and beyond to make everyone feel at home. They were so accommodating, friendly, and genuinely cared that our weekend went smoothly. All our guests said how amazing their stay was. We truly felt like we had our own little waterfront town for our celebration!
Thank you, Dan and Justine, for helping make our daughter’s wedding weekend unforgettable. We can’t wait to come back.
We stayed at the FI Boatel in late September—such a beautiful time of year and a fabulous way to welcome autumn. The waterfront suites sit right on the bay, each with a cozy porch overlooking the Great South Bay. We caught the sunset from the porch, then took a quick walk to the ocean for sunrise the next morning. The rooms were immaculate, with a breezy coastal vibe and thoughtful touches, including a full kitchen with fridge and stove. We brought cheeses and noshes from home, but the markets and restaurants stay open through November 1, and the Boatel’s cozy yard has grills ready to use if you’re inspired. Two restaurants right across from the property were still open during our stay, and the hosts couldn’t have been more welcoming. A true hidden gem—so worth checking out for a relaxing Fire Island escape.
Amazing stay. The unit was immaculate and perfectly appointed, including beach chairs, beach towels, coffee. The deck overlooking the Sound was a truly magical spot for enjoying our morning coffee, playing a round of afternoon cards, and vibing over the magical sunsets. The Boatel crew has gone to great lengths to ensure a phenomenal experience for its guests. Dan is a total gem!
We stayed at the Boatel during the week in July of 2025. The place is immaculate. The rooms are new and clean with everything you need for a stay. The deck overlooking the bay was our favorite place to watch the sun go down and have drinks after a day at the beach. Every night we cooked food on the provided weber grills and enjoyed eating on our deck facing the bay watching the sun go down. A true slice of heaven! The place has everything you need, so don’t bring too much. Beach towels, beach chairs and umbrella are provided so do not lug all that stuff from home like we did. Bikes for exploring Fire Island are available and we made use of them often. There are also outdoor showers and ice machine that we used every single day. It’s the full package. So much better than renting a house which we have done a few times in the past. The manager Dan is so nice and accommodating and we felt like we made a new friend. We went with another couple who had the room next to us and this review speaks for all of us. It was an amazing week with amazing people. I am done typing for now. I need to go reserve a room for next summer!
My mother & I love staying at The Boatel every summer. She asks me to give it to her as her Christmas gift each year. Dan is awesome and we eat dinner almost every night at The Dive, awesome people there too. Great vibes always in Kismet and even better sunsets. Thanks for the great memories..we'll be back next year!!
