Gappy's Pizza

Went in for a slice of pizza while my dad filled up his car across the street. Was immediately greeted by Gappy. Ended up hanging out for longer than planned.

Pizza was great — crispy crust on both Sicilian and regular slice — and the people elevated the short time I spent there even more.

Strongly recommend for a good time and good food.

A night out with friend was an excellent experience as we watched our waitress Hailey keep us well served for food and beverage and always with a smile.

The food is mediocre but plentiful. Portions are large and good value. BUT we will be back just because the service this person gave us was memorable!

Best pizza I’ve had in the Carmel area. Your classic thin NY slice. Very friendly staff. Always very cordial and offer you paper plates with your pizza. Always seems to be a good vibe going on in the restaurant among both staff and patrons

Been here twice. First time, a while back, maybe a little less than a year ago, great food- shrimp scampi pizza was knock it out of the park good. Server was young but OK. Had to get going, went to the counter to find our server and saw a bunch of people doing shots with one of the cooks! Yeah, not cool.

Gave them another chance, did take out. Meat pizza was loaded with all of.the meats! It was full, tasty, marinara was good, crust had flavor. The Wings were $$$ and not good at all. Small, hardly any meat, Breaded- who breads Buffalo wings? Whatever breading they used made the wing sauce gloppy and pasty. Unpleasantness....

We like to patronize local, family owned spots but can't afford to waste money on inconsistent food and service. That's why we left our last local spot after decades.

I really wish I could give Gappy's an excellent review :(

We came here based on the great reviews. But it's most likely not based on the service you receive here.

The ambiance looked nice and there was both outdoor and indoor seating.

We walked in and were told to sit anywhere. We sat there at the table looking at each other for 10 minutes and still no one came to us. The server was busy filling sauces behind the counter. There was also another table just sitting there as well.

We just got up and left.

2 stars for the ambiance.
