My primary for pre-work cold brew. No nonsense, get in get out - get your caffeine. Great staff, excellent drinks, and an amazing sandwich selection. Caprese and Chicken Cutlet are our family favorites. Try them but leave some for us. Family friendly. Holiday catering is delicious.

Cute little place, but our first experience was so disappointing that I don't think we'll be back, unfortunately. First, the 'good': while it's small, it's packed with interesting handmade and speciality items that could make great hostess gifts, etc. Also, the staff were pleasant, if not helpful - which brings me to the 'bad': we ordered what should be a very simple sandwich (bagel, untoasted, with cream cheese and lox), and it took *forever* and came out strange. After ten minutes of waiting while other customers got their (more complicated, cooked) orders, I checked to be sure there wasn't a misunderstanding (like maybe the sandwich had come out and we'd somehow missed a call), but there was not - the staff said that we needed to wait. After twenty minutes (!) I asked if maybe they could check, since it seemed odd that an uncooked, cold sandwich should take more than twenty minutes to come out. They finally agreed, and someone went into the back, whereupon I'm guessing they started working on our sandwich. After about five more minutes, they came out with something and a subtle apology (that wasn't nearly enough in my opinion). On the way to the car, we looked at what we'd been given only to find that the bagel was hot for some reason!? To give them a sort of unearned benefit of the doubt, perhaps their bagels are all frozen and need to be microwaved before serving, or perhaps they forgot that we asked for it to not be toasted? Whatever the cause, it was the final negative note in an overall poor performance by this place, and their reaction to it makes me think that this is not out of the ordinary or something that they consider to be worse than their expectations, so we won't give them a second chance, I don't think. Giving two stars instead of one because another food item that we got was tasty, and the staff were pleasant (if ineffectual / uncaring), and I've been to much worse places in my life.

G.E. Brown in the heart of Bedford has a great local vibe… charming, laid-back, and authentically community-focused with its airy interior, curated goods, and friendly staff. It’s a solid stop for coffee (the lattes are consistently good) and a quick breakfast or lunch, but the food is just okay… fresh ingredients, but flavors and execution are fairly middle-of-the-road. Sandwiches and pastries look better than they taste, and while the menu feels thoughtfully sourced, it doesn’t quite deliver on flavor. Still, the atmosphere and service make it worth a visit if you’re nearby, even if the food isn’t anything to write home about. Three stars for the vibe more than the meal.

My favorite place to pick up coffee or lunch when I’m at the office. Their soups are full of flavor and made from the freshest ingredients. My go to sandwich is the steak sandwich with arugula, caramelized onions and mustard. The only reason for the four stars is recently they changed their cold selection area with smaller coolers that hold a lot fewer options. If you go past 1pm for lunch your favorite item may be sold out.

A cute little coffee shop, with conveinent parking lot. They are pricey, but there is such a broad variety or prepackaged foods, salads, sandwiches and wraps. There are also a decent amount of cute gifts here if you're needing anything from wine glasses, Lake Champlian chocolates, candles, etc. Staff is attentive and friendly. No bathroom or sitting inside, a couple tables outside. Support local businesses, enjoy!
