This fantastic piece of history of a building is no longer a tavern , and as much as that sucks , the ppl who own it now have turned it into a bakery/ coffee house , we did not sample their wares but the bread looked good , the bar itself is still intact as it the shuffle table .
Stop in and get some coffee try a muffin .

I needed to satisfy a craving for a sweet bun and the sticky bun here hit the spot perfectly! The cappuccino was also delicious. The place itself is fascinating because of its long history. It's one of the longest operating bars in the USA. The owners were very friendly and taught me to play shuffle board. I'm looking forward to my next visit and hoping the dining room will reopen soon so I can take larger groups of people to enjoy it with me!

I'm so glad other places were closed and that this hidden gem popped up in my local search. A place I finally feel good spending money at that goes directly to this mother-son business. My midmorning was about a search for a stronger coffee, but I left this fine place and people with an experience I didn't know I needed. Never mind the smokey silky soft raw aged gouda I brought home, the organic everything bagel and latte that filled our brunchy bellies. This family and business owners are full of big hearts, rich history of the town and surrounding areas, and an energy that somehow leaves you feeling fuller and lighter than you were before. Will be returning!

We love this place. The owners are a nice family who love to entertain. Really great coffee and cheeses. The atmosphere is great! It has a wrap around bar, shuffleboard table, restaurant, cheese bar, great beer, and local veggies for sale. Very cute and quaint.

Local treasure of a spot to get fresh greens, fresh bread, cheese, coffee and great company! Robert and Loretta do a phenomenal job, consistently.
