Went in for my first prenatal appointment and just didn’t feel confident in the care at all. I was told that I would only see a doctor if I’m high risk. I’m over 35, pre-diabetic and conceived through IVF… what more do I need to be considered high risk? I also just don’t think I vibed with the mid-wife. She almost seemed like I was interrupting her day. She had a rebuttal for everything I said as if I was annoying her. She wasn’t knowledgeable about IVF at all. I know that’s not her scope of practice but it’s 2025, IVF conception is so common, how do you not know anything about it as a maternal health provider? She also was rude about that fact that I was on medication for my pre-diabetes and stated that I should be able to reverse it with just changing my diet and exercise and made a big deal about the fact that my doctor prescribed the medication to me. I gave 2 stars because the front desk staff was very very nice so no complaints there. I ended up switching to Valley Medical in Montvale, NJ and I absolutely love them. I feel so cared for there.
This review is about Rae. She works at the Highland Medical OBS-GYN office in New City. I had a couple of questions regarding my appointment and also wanted to know if certain information was received by that office. Rae was very helpful. She took her time and addressed my concerns. The certain information I had a question about did not come up right away. It took some searching, but Rae finally found it. I was very pleased. Thank you Rae. To sum this all up, Rae displayed Exemplary Customer Service.
