You definitely can get away with a 50-70$ date night here if you order sandwiches or cheaper entrees!
This was a wonderful night out we will be back everything was excellent and the owner was very kind and checked in!! This is in our date night rotation! Steak cooked perfectly sides well seasoned the bread dips are insanely good!!
I had an amazing experience at this restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, even though the space is on the smaller side. The food, though, is what truly stood out. The skirt steak was cooked to perfection — tender, flavorful, and easily one of the best I’ve had. The lobster was just as impressive, fresh and delicious with every bite.
My wife and I came here for date night, and it ended up being even better than we expected. The service was attentive without being intrusive, and everything came out quickly and beautifully plated. We’re already looking forward to coming back for our next night out.
If I had to point out one downside, it’s that the restaurant is a bit small, so it can feel a little tight. But honestly, the quality of the food and the overall experience more than make up for it. Highly recommend!
We visited Holstein Grill Steak House in Ronkonkoma last night. The moment you walk in, you’re met with a comfortable, welcoming feel that sets the stage for a fantastic meal.
Now, about that bread. It’s so good it might make you forget you came for steak. Add the chimichurri or the salsa verde and you’ve got a flavor combo that ranks among the best you’ll ever taste. The main course was just as impressive. I had the surf and turf — a perfectly cooked filet mignon paired with a delicious lobster tail. Everything on the plate was spot on.
And a nod to the service. Mimi, our waitress, was attentive and made sure we were well taken care of, even going off menu to have something special made. That kind of thoughtfulness really completes the experience.
Bottom line: if you’re looking for great food and genuine service, Holstein Grill is your spot.
Wow we can’t say enough about our first time visiting. This little gem is right behind Ralph’s on portion road, same parking lot. Don’t let the side entrance fool you this place is stunning inside! Great ambiance, cute lighting awesome bar area. The food tho was out of this world. We were floored at how good every single thing was. The steak was prepared perfectly ! My homemade Arnold Palmer had homemade lemon sour mix that was amazing. A wide variety of cocktails and drinks. Affordable and again the food was just so good. The service was amazing I couldn’t put a dirty dish to the side for ten seconds. The staff was so friendly. We truly loved this place.
1000/10!!
A Hidden Gem That Deserves the Spotlight!
Holstein Grill is hands-down one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. This place is a true hidden gem!! The highlight for me? The pineapple lemonade. I’m not exaggerating when I say it might be the best drink I've ever had. Perfectly balanced — fresh, vibrant, not too sweet, with just the right tang. I would come back for that drink alone!
Surf and turf was cooked to perfection and full of flavor AND THE grilled pork chops were tender and juicy!!! And then there’s the chimichurri… wow. I don’t say this lightly- it was so good, you could honestly drink it. Bright, herby, garlicky, and packed with flavor. It elevated every bite it touched.
Service was warm and attentive, and the food came out hot and beautifully plated. Holstein Grill isn’t just a place to eat — it’s a place to savor. If you’re in the area and haven’t been, you’re missing out.
