We had a really fun time! Paul and Rich were great guides. It was a beautiful night, a beautiful sunset and the fireworks were the perfect end to our evening.

My husband and I recently signed up for both a single and a double kayak for an unforgettable fireworks tour, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! We brought my mom along, making it her very first time in a kayak. A huge shoutout to Mike from Hudson River Recreation, who provided fantastic guidance and support to her as a first-timer. He ensured we moved at a comfortable pace, allowing us to soak in the stunning view of the NYC skyline at golden hour. The journey was remarkable, and witnessing the fireworks display at Playland was the cherry on top! This whole adventure was an absolute blast, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable outing!
Ryan Paul and were great guides. We did the full moon tour from rye beach the Friday after July 4th and fireworks just happened to be scheduled for then. What a show. 3 generational family (some first timers) and they did a great job of accommodating us. Communication with the company was excellent, too.
It was a very smooth rental experience, from top to bottom. How nice to get all the boring paperwork out of the way online and in advance so we could show up, get outfitted, and start paddling. The staff were polite, efficient, and helpful, and the views of Playland and the boardwalk from the water were spectacular. I plan to try some of HRR's other rental spots this summer and will definitely return to this one.
