Good place to shop, unfortunately you have to bring your own bags or pay for a bag, no free grocery bags here.
Always Enjoy Shopping at Ideal, I'm Jamaican 🇯🇲 and I find lots of Produce/Items I would buy back home. The Supermarket is clean, spacious and The Staff friendly.
They have enough selections for our needs. They even have a fresh fish store inside the store. Know how to choose your seafood. They're not always fresh. Be aware.
Great grocery store been going here for over a decade since back when it was Golden Mango. Managers always take time to take care of your needs and plenty of international options as well as domestic.
I was in retail for almost 50 years, so I have a lot to say about EVERY store I enter. Lots of criticisms and observations. And one thing I observed about Ideal is that their shelves and endcaps are truly works of art.
Every inch is always filled with beautifully merchandised items. Not one square foot in this store goes to waste: because it is a small supermarket by today’s standards, the manager must make sure that this is the case. And he does, always in the floor directing his many workers, always seemingly on the lookout for shoplifters. He could have worked for me any day.
The store replaced a shoddy looking Waldbaum’s years ago. When Waldbaum’s closed I was upset. Today I think it’s the best thing that could have happened for the neighborhood. It’s a pleasure to shop here.
