We were staying in Cold Spring over Independence Day weekend, and I walked over to neighboring Nelsonville to try Juanita’s because online reviews were solid.
I was not disappointed: the food is unbelievably fresh and flavorful! I ordered a breakfast bowl with scrambled eggs, beans, avocado, home fries, and spinach and mushrooms ( I added mango salsa at the Airbnb) and a bowl with chicken, rice and beans, avocado and pico.
The cafe itself is cute and clean, the young lady serving me was friendly and professional, she gave me a glass of ice water because it was very hot outside, and I enjoyed listening to music while my food was being prepared.
A solid 5 out of 5 stars, and a spot to hit up whenever we take a day trip to the valley again.
I love dropping in here when I’m in the area. The food is consistently good here, and offers an intimate and small town feel.
My kids always love coming here, as they have a magical little children’s area to keep little hands busy.
Honestly the guac is alright, the chips are store bought and cold, the tacos are terrible, the meat looked grey and the flavour was so bland and the empanadas are so dry even with the sauce, not sure why this place has such high ratings it reslly sucked. The serve
Juanita’s kitchen is amazing and authentic. They serve the best Mexican food, and our belly was very happy!
We ordered Tacos, empanadas, mollotes, tres leches cake and chocolate & vanilla filled churros. Everything was super fresh and so delicious. 😋
Came across this place via Google reviews and decided to stop in and was not disappointed! Wow 🤩! Food was incredible! So fresh and so tasty! Everything was packed with flavor and lit up our pallets with the quality of the ingredients! We came in and were seated right away and was helped by the nice waitress. Our food came out fast and the ambiance was great. Music set a beautiful tone inside without being too loud. We ordered a bunch of things and the cactus salad was an amazing dish! Never had that before and glad it was so good for our first experience ; it’s really set the bar high! Picadillo Bowl was so delicious! Their beans were incredible! The pico salsa was one of the best I’ve ever had! Also an amazing tamale. We loved everything and can’t wait to go back! If you’re searching for your next meal and came across Juanita’s , look no further. You won’t be disappointed! They also have an ATM in the store! Get your next delicious bite here
