24 hrs ER was terrific and they do great work.
We were there several times, mostly overnight and all professionals and staff were efficient and empathetic.
We knew that Lulu was terminal when we adopted her.
The goal was hospice and KB helped stabilize her 4 times.
They alleviated her attacks and gave her some comfort.
Sadly, her collapsed trachea only gave her 32 days with us and she was relieved of suffering on Dec. 1.
We miss her terribly but can't thank KB enough for helping us at least try.
Lastly, they are very honest in terms of tests and treatment and, while it's not cheap, they certainly do not take advantage.

We accidentally gave our cat, Serena, a double dose of insulin on Sunday morning. Though her vet was closed, I called their office and was directed to Katonah Bedford Veterinary Center. I called ahead to let them know I was on my way. She was taken in promptly upon arrival and treated quickly, her blood glucose was 40. Dr. Macdonald explained everything to me in a clear and compassionate way. I am beyond thankful she was the one to care for our cat.

I was in complete distress walking into an emergency vet, and I have to mention Courtney at the front desk. She was quick to comfort me and offer support. I was given tissues, water, and kindness I truly needed in that moment. I can’t express how grateful I am for her compassion.

It was a scary experience and the entire team made me feel more at ease. Even the waiting area itself was calming with its spaciousness and water, coffee and tea available.

I realize the emergency vet is a place no one wants to be and many struggle to afford, including myself. However I feel like they understood this and did their best to provide me with a solution that offered Serena the care she needed while also respecting our financial situation.

The care we received here was unmatched. Thank you again to Dr. Macdonald and Courtney for everything they did for us on Sunday. I would not hesitate to return here if necessary (though I sure hope I won’t have to!)

The care and attention our kitty, Persephone, received at KBVC was unmatched. Each vet and tech on staff was communicative, patient, and kind. Our kitty was diagnosed with wet FIP. We brought her in during a breathing crisis and she was immediately seen and helped. She is on the way to recovery and it is not an exaggeration in the slightest to say that KBVC is one of the biggest reasons for her recovery. Her shaved parts (for her blood and to drain fluid) were done cleanly with no razor burn which was also impressive.

    Thank you all!

Yesterday morning, August 14, 2025, we had to say goodbye to our beloved cat Max, and I want to express my deepest gratitude to the entire team at Katonah Bedford Veterinary Center. From the moment we arrived at the emergency department, every single person we encountered was compassionate, caring, and incredibly supportive during one of the hardest moments of our lives.

Dr. Brita was gentle, soft-spoken, and honest when discussing Max’s prognosis with us. Together, we made the heartbreaking decision that euthanasia was the most humane choice, given how ill he was and the limited time he had left to live a comfortable life. It was clear that the team truly cared not only for Max but also for us as his family.

They gave us a private room where we could spend meaningful time with Max — showering him with hugs and kisses and saying goodbye in peace and privacy. It meant the world to us to have that space and that time with him.

From the receptionist at the front desk, (Chrissy and forgive me if I forget exact names or get any wrong) to the ER tech,(Mariah) the ER liaison (Rosie), and of course Dr. Brita, every single person treated us and Max with dignity, empathy, and kindness. Their thoughtful approach helped ease the pain of such a difficult day.

I will forever be grateful for the way they ensured Max was comfortable in his final hours, and for the care they gave our entire family. Though my heart aches and I miss my sweet boy more than words can say, I take comfort in knowing he was surrounded by love and compassion until the very end.

Thank you, Katonah Bedford Veterinary Center, for everything. You gave Max a peaceful farewell, and you gave us comfort in our grief. I will never forget your kindness.
