I cannot thank Dr. Williams and the team at Locust Valley Veterinary Clinic enough for their incredible care of my 13-year-old dog, Tango.
During a routine senior wellness visit, Dr. Williams caught something subtle but critical: an elevated calcium level in his blood work. While Tango seemed fine on the outside, she knew this could be a sign of something serious. Instead of brushing it off, she immediately recommended the right diagnostic steps to investigate further.
Her sharp instincts and thoroughness led directly to a diagnosis of Primary Hyperparathyroidism and the discovery of a tumor. Thanks to her early detection, we were able to get him the surgery he needed before his organs suffered permanent damage.
Dr. Williams didn't just treat my dog; she saved him from future kidney failure and gave us more quality years together. If you are looking for a vet who is proactive, incredibly smart, and truly cares about catching issues before they become emergencies, go see Dr. Williams. We are forever grateful!
I have had 18 cats over the past 72 years. I've had occasion to visit over a dozen vets on Long Island's North Shore. In my opinion Locust Valley Veterinary Clinic is the best. Their expertise, kindness and care they have shown me and my cats is exemplary. Ricki DiSalvo
My girl, Leslie, was diagnosed with an aggressive form of mammary cancer which metastasized to her lymph nodes. It took two operations at West Hills to get her cancer-free. Her doctor then was Dr. Williams. When she moved to Locust Valley we moved with her. Every six months we travel to LI from Manhattan to get Leslie's staging and recheck. All the reviews here are accurate - she is compassionate, knowledgeable and thorough in her explanations. Exemplifies the doctor who truly cares for the animal.
After 5 years of being in remission, Leslie developed low-grade carcinoma in two of her four remaining nipples. Another surgery is necessary and we wouldn't want to have the surgery done with anyone but Dr. Williams.
Though I haven’t been a client long, I’ve have been continually impressed with the care, compassion and transparency of Dr. Meloni and her wonderful team. I feel as though I’ve been a client for years and I am floored by the thoroughness and kindness with which my animals and I have been treated. Cannot speak highly enough of this practice. My search for the people who will care for my pets through thick and thin is finally over as I have complete trust that they are already treating my fur kids as though they love them as much as I do.
I was so nervous bringing my sick 12 week old puppy here, however since I came inside everyone felt genuinely caring, attentive and really professional. They made me feel like my puppy was in great hands! Not to mention, after my visit I had more questions and I called them. After that phone call, I even had someone call me back to check up on my puppy the next day!
It was beyond thoughtful and unexpected. I wouldn’t think twice about bringing her here!
