A fantastic piece of history tucked in some beautiful land surrounded by nature and the bay. The staff is very knowledgeable and welcoming. Worth a visit!
Jean, my tour guide, was extremely knowledgeable in the history of the Manor, the family, and the house changes. Definitely go visit before the end of October when it closes for the winter. Thursdays- Sunday.
We’ve had a tour of the house on summer weekend, and our docent was really knowledgeable and welcoming person that made for a pleasant and memorable visit. Quite detailed history of the house and its inhabitants over couple of centuries. Beautiful views of the bay and fields around manor. Good combo of history, nature and landscaping. Would have been a good idea to add a trail on property’s perimeter.
Fascinating historic home that is beautifully restored. Come visit the birthplace of New York’s first senator. Wonderful personal tour. Enjoyed!
