We love it, we went there for my wife birthday, we have a great time, everything was perfect, Francisco was our waitress he is fantástic,
I received a gift card Mill Creek Tavern in Bayville recently so Saturday we checked it out. We arrived right at 5:00 which I think was the move because by the time we left, both sides of the restaurant and the bar were packed.
We shared a fried calamari appetizer (perfect cook)
My husband had Sauerbraten Short Ribs
(Mustard herb späetzle, and braised red cabbage) and I had Chicken Schnitzel with mushroom gravy and a side of creamed spinach.
Not pictured is our delicious tiramisu
I will say our server was just a little…awkward? Nice but odd to interact with whoever, not in an off putting way and was attentive
We can’t wait to go back!
We decided to celebrate March 8th in that place. We came about noon, and it's been pretty empty. You can tell it's a local restaurant . The food was pretty decent, and I drank champagne, so it's obvious the bartender wasn't worked so hard on drinks. Atmosphere been very relaxing. The only things I don't like are a service. It was ok,but it looks like workers don't wanna be there. Maybe because they are tired. But I will definitely stop by.
Went for a nice hike & gardens around Oyster Bay. So this place was recommended to me by Google maps & decided to come here.
When you go inside: the bar is the first thing you see. It was confusing, because we were looking for a hostess or someone to sit us for a few minutes. Finally got someone's attention & they sat us inside the restaurant.
🦋So we arrived during happy hour. But they said we have to sit at the bar if want to partake in the happy hour options...but we wanted to be in the restaurant...so dissapointing honestly.
🦋Our waitress was knowledgeable & patient.
🦋 bread with butter on the table (not a fan of that butter at all)
🦋espresso martini was good.
🦋buffalo spring rolls were good (but very small for the quantity)
🦋mac & cheese side (1. It's penne and 2. Missing something) we weren't a fan
🦋Shepherds Pie was alright, nothing special. I guess I was hoping & expecting more flavor.
Overall, nice local place, with nice staff and location. But the prices for the quality of food didn't match.
